One of the most iconic vehicles ever made, the original Ford Bronco spanned production from 1966 to 1977 with nearly 300,000 sold during that time. This 1973 Bronco is a factory Ranger model and recently emerged from an extensive restoration with assembly work by BCB Restorations in Sandy, Utah. The new Dynacorn body was media blasted, epoxy coated and finished in PPG Boxwood Green, while the tub floors, doors, wheel wells and white removable hardtop were covered in Kilmat sound deadener. The 331 CI stroker V-8 engine has been built with an MSD Atomic fuel injection system, Edelbrock RPM air-gap intake manifold, Trick Flow aluminum cylinder heads, Comp Cams camshaft and roller rockers, Scat connecting rods with Twisted Wedge pistons, and ceramic-coated headers with a custom exhaust system rounded out by Magnaflow mufflers. An MSD ignition is responsible for the spark, while a Moroso air cleaner keeps out impurities, and it’s all kept cool by a 4-core aluminum radiator. A C4 3-speed automatic transmission is fitted with a high-performance torque converter and flywheel, as well as a Derale transmission cooler, and it channels power to a Ford 9-inch rear axle. A rebuilt Dana 20 dual-range transfer case, front Yukon and rear ARB lockers, and HS Customs front and rear driveshafts make up the broad strokes of the 4-wheel drive system. James Duff suspension components have been used extensively, including the 4-link rear, eight auto-adjusting shocks, the 5.5- inch progressive-rate coil springs, the rear sway bar and the 2-inch body lift. It’s equipped with Wilwood front and rear disc brakes and a Wilwood master cylinder. BC Broncos supplied the stainless-steel lines, and E-Stopp provided the electronic parking brake. A Wild Horses Saginaw power steering pump and bracket have also been installed. The interior features door panels, front bucket seats and a rear bench seat upholstered in quilted, diamond-stitched brown leather, a Bubinga wood center console with a lockable compartment, cupholders and an Alpine stereo head unit, Nu Relics power windows, Vintage Air, an epoxy-coated, wood- rimmed steering wheel, Dakota Digital VHX gauges and black carpeting. The custom tailgate features fold-down seating for two. Rolling on Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ tires with polished 15-inch Pro Comp 69 Vintage wheels, this customized Bronco is unlike any other.
