This stunning Camaro has earned top honors at some of the most prestigious car shows in the country. A Camaro Nationals Best of Show winner, the car also took home a Top 25 award at Shades of the Past, Ultimate 5 awards at World of Wheels and the Pigeon Forge Rod Run, Builder’s Choice awards at Goodguys and NSRA meets and Best of Show at Cruising the Beach in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. With just 200 miles on the build, this 1968 Camaro is awash with details, specialty products and design integration, setting it lightyears apart from so many others. The front end is a remarkable, single-piece, all-steel unit, the integrated front splitter and bumperless design reminding gently of the Trans-Am cars from the day. The seams have been smoothed over, the underside of the trunk and hood have been smoothed, the glass was flush mounted and the rear bumper is a custom unit underlining the taillights and fuel filler cap. Finished in the unique color of PPG Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic all around, a big-block 468/625 HP engine built by B&M Racing Engines is painted bright red with light detailing and prepped with Ultimate headers, aluminum heads and intake, a roller cam, an Eddie Motorsports pulley system and more. Nestled into a fully smoothed and painted engine bay, it’s backed by a Turbo 400 transmission with a 3000 stall convertor and kept cool by a CRC custom radiator. The chassis is dialed in with a Detroit front hydro-formed subframe, rack-and-pinion steering, QA1 coilover shocks, Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes with 6-piston front calipers/4-piston rear calipers, C6 Corvette spindles, a Currie 9-inch rear end with 3.90 gears, a RideTech 4-link, Detroit Speed mini tubs and RideTech subframe connectors to name a few elements helping to channel the power and provide stability and flat handling. The bright red leather interior by Pro Custom Interiors is tempered by black detailing and custom appointments throughout, including ultra-supportive seats, a center console, custom Auto Meter gauges, an Ididit tilt steering column with a Billet Specialties steering wheel, Vintage Air, power windows, power locks, a Lokar shifter, Lokar accelerator and brake pedals and much more. Riddled with Ring Brothers accessories and equipment, the Camaro has won multiple awards and was the calendar cover car for Camaro Specialist.
