Corvette Chief Engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov first conceived the ZR1 option package in 1969 as a track-ready, small-block- powered Corvette patterned after the mighty big-block L88. While that first ZR1 partnered the solid-lifter LT1 engine with a chassis largely prepared to L88 specifications, it was virtually indistinguishable from other Corvettes. That changed with the next-generation ZR1 introduced in 1990, which featured wider rear bodywork with distinctive but minor styling cues and a special Lotus-engineered 32-valve DOHC V-8. Introduced in 2017, the C7 ZR1 took the formula to the next level with an all-new, exclusive supercharged small-block V-8, specially tuned suspension and the wildest aerodynamics ever seen on a “production” Corvette. Offered from the Jackie and Gary Runyon Collection, this 2019 ZR1 convertible exceeds all expectations as the greatest front-engine Corvette ever made. At just 968 actual miles, it is a trademark example of Runyon collection excellence, offering the full roster of available options and presenting in virtually flawless condition. Built on a sturdy yet lightweight aluminum frame, it is powered by the supercharged LT5 6.2L V-8 engine boasting 755 HP and 715 lb-ft of torque thanks to a stronger crank, a 2.7L Eaton supercharger (a full liter more than the Z06’s 1.7L unit), dry-sump oiling and racing-grade cooling. A 7-speed manual transmission with special cooling system and an electronically controlled differential complete the ZR1’s potent drivetrain. Complementing the ZR1’s Magnetic Selective Ride Control, five-mode Performance Traction Management and massive Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, the Track Performance Package adds a stiffer chassis, special suspension tuning and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires on special Carbon flash painted aluminum wheels. More than just an exterior paint option, the exclusive Sebring Orange design package includes orange brake calipers, rocker and splitter accent stripes, seatbelts and interior stitching, as well as exclusive bronze aluminum interior trim. Additionally fitted with the optional high-mounted carbon fiber rear wing and carbon fiber front splitter, the car also features the 3ZR Equipment Group with high-gloss carbon fiber instrument panel and carbon fiber leather-wrapped steering wheel, navigation, memory package, performance data and video recorder, Bose Premium audio with surround sound, heated and ventilated seats, universal home remote, SiriusXM satellite radio, Apple CarPlay and curbview cameras. This milestone front-engine ZR1 includes the factory original cover and charger case, a Corvette Engine Build Experience congratulations certificate, Corvette Museum Delivery plaque and associated paperwork, and a dealer brochure, making it likely the most complete example of its breed.
