Having covered just 15,079 miles from new, this 1984 Chevrolet C20 Suburban presents in magnificent and unrestored condition. Purchased on July 12, 1984, the truck wears Midnight Black paint that shows exquisitely and has been metered to show originality. Fitted with the chrome front and rear bumpers and aluminum steps, the look is fantastic and refreshingly stock. The Slate Gray interior features the Custom cloth upholstery and trim, with gauges housed in a brushed-aluminum surround, the entire scene looking ready for the showroom. In fact, this C20 is so clean that in 2010 it took the Senior National First Prize at the Hershey AACA. Fitted with an AM/ FM/Cassette stereo, heater-defroster, power steering and power brakes with front discs, the Suburban also features a 66-amp alternator, heavy duty radiator and a locking differential, and a 40-gallon fuel tank was opted over the standard 25-gallon unit. Powered by a 5.7L V-8 engine with a very uncommon matching numbers 4-speed manual transmission, this C20 was built with the Silverado Equipment Group, which was only available to Suburbans specified with the Custom vinyl or cloth upholstery. Checking the Silverado option box brought about a Custom steering wheel, the Deluxe Molding Package, which included bright wheel opening moldings, bright rear door moldings, and bright sill plates, as well as dual horns, a visor mirror, carpeting, plastic door trim with storage pockets, bright brushed finish accents and more, giving the Suburban a more finished, upscale look and feel. Rolling on Michelin tires wrapping white steel wheels, the Suburban will be sold with an extensive file of maintenance records including oil changes by date, insurance cards, spare keys, the owner’s manual, a Chevrolet warranty booklet and service parts ID card, and the original Pennsylvania title from 1984. A remarkable time capsule from GM’s Rounded Line truck design, few of these Suburbans are left and even fewer are still in such outstanding condition.
