The term “Red-blooded American” may come to mind when looking over this deluxe-trim 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. From the model year still considered by many as the defining moment in all Camaro production, this tri-color Camaro RS/ SS wears its factory red, white and blue color combination, comprising red paint, a white vinyl top and associated graphics, and a blue interior. Adding the RS package certainly gives visual appeal to this example with covered headlamps, added trim and deluxe interior components. In this instance, this car even came equipped with the very rare V75 Liquid Tire Chain option with squirters that shoot Liquid Tire Chain “traction improver” from the trunk to the rear tires to aid in traction. The SS designation added here denotes a 350 CI V-8 engine. It is equipped with the chrome lid on top of a snorkel-design air cleaner, a light patina and power brake and factory air conditioning accessories. This is in turn backed by a desirable 4-speed manual transmission, and a detailed rear cover can be seen on the differential housing. Of course, that red exterior is nicely complemented by the trim chosen, which includes the fender-mounted turn signal indicators, SS blackout treatment and emblems, chrome bumpers, lower rocker chrome, the front spoiler and the hood inserts. Inside, this car features the deluxe console with auxiliary gauges, a chrome ball-knob shifter, a tachometer and gauges in the dash, and the use of select wood-grain appliques. The interior features blue cloth and vinyl materials, with the radio, three-spoke sport steering wheel and chrome-trimmed floor pedals completing the look. The white vinyl top and stripes add contrast to the exterior of this build, which further incorporates 350 fender emblems, Camaro SS model identification and dual rearview mirrors as chrome touches. There is even a spare, jack and floor mat in the trunk. Finally, the car rides on a set of Rally wheels that host Firestone Wide Oval white-letter tires. A looker from every angle, this special Camaro is accompanied by a Protect-O-Plate, laminated window sticker, pre-delivery checklist, owner’s manual, delivery folio and wheel jack instructions.
