The sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro marked the last generation of the legendary American pony car first introduced in 1967. As was customary for the namplate, the sixth-generation Camaro was available in numerous power-boosting trims, including the most powerful ZL1. Under its hood, the ZL1 Camaro used a 6.2L LT4 supercharged V-8 producing 650 HP and 650 lb-ft of torque, and it was aided by 11 total heat exchangers. This particular 2024 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is an even more special example than a “regular” ZL1 would have been. Dubbed the “Garage 56 Edition,” this Camaro was created in collaboration with NASCAR, Hendrick Motorsports, Chevrolet, Goodyear and IMSA to commemorate the experimental Garage 56 Camaro’s participation in the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans. Only 56 units were produced for the U.S. market at an additional cost of $11,995. Finished in Riptide Blue with special Garage 56 graphics and badging, it boasts a 6-speed manual transmission, an electronic limited-slip differential, copper-free Brembo 4-wheel disc brakes, carbon fiber interior trim, a satin black blade spoiler, a dealer-installed wicker bill spoiler, a black fuel door with exposed carbon fiber insert, a performance data and video recorder, Magnetic Ride control, a dual-mode exhaust system and 20-inch Dark Graphite-painted forged aluminum wheels. Despite its performance-focused additions, the interior doesn’t make sacrifices, featuring a head-up display, an 8-way power driver’s seat and a 6-way power Recaro passenger seat, heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a rear camera mirror, illuminated sill plates, HID headlamps with LED signature, and powered and heated outside mirrors. With only 18 miles on its odometer, this 2024 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Garage 56 Edition is a rare variant of the famed pony car’s last generation. If a regular Camaro ZL1 can’t quite satisfy your quarter-mile ambitions, this NASCAR-inspired pony car just might be prepared to deliver.
