Bloomington Gold Certification and multiple NCRS Top Flight Awards attest to the superb quality of this very attractive 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, which was completed on May 15, 1967, and delivered new by Rosenthal Chevrolet in Arlington, Virginia. In 1967, Chevrolet capitalized on the growing popularity of its 427 CI big-block V-8 Corvettes, introducing two Tri-Power triple 2-barrel variants: a hydraulic-cam version rated at 400 HP and a 435 HP unit with solid lifters, together accounting for almost 25% of the 1967 production figure of 22,940 Corvettes. Strikingly finished in the rare combination of Ermine White with a Bright Blue stinger, Bright Blue interior and blue soft top, this example‘s original, matching-numbers driveline comprises the mighty L71 427/435 HP V-8 engine, a Muncie M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission and racy 4.11 Positraction rear end. It remains equipped with its factory born-with side exhaust, along with transistorized ignition, a tinted windshield, head rest seats, an AM/FM radio, a Black vinyl auxiliary hardtop and the original Kelsey Hayes bolt-on aluminum wheels (including a spare) over stainless steel disc brakes. The car’s earlier body-off restoration has aged gracefully, albeit with some crazing of the paint in places; significantly, it shows a no-hit GM front end with the grille tab still in place. As testament to this Corvette’s enduring quality, its extensively documented ownership history includes such Corvette hobby luminaries as John Danos, George Page and Michael Seskin. Documented with the NCRS/GM validated tank sticker, CCAS/Grenning engine stamp affirmation, warranty book and Protect-O-Plate, restoration photos and receipts, Bloomington Gold and NCRS judging sheets, NCRS Confirmation of Judging Awards, the owner’s manual packet, and multiple 3-ring binders, this multiple-award winner retains most all factory- correct-type components including the spare, jack, jack tools, clear floor mats, seat belts, washer system, shifter, shielding, braided wires, air cleaner, alternator, distributor, hoses, hose clamps, carburetors, starter, valve covers, radiator, gas door assembly, glovebox door and T-3 headlights.
