Produced on March 1, 1963 and delivered new to Kardon Chevrolet in Mount Holly, New Jersey, this prize-winning 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe has been in the same owner’s assiduous care since 1980. In 1991, the owner completed a comprehensive restoration to factory specifications, following which the car received the National Corvette Restorers Society’s Top Flight Award in October of that same year. Significantly, this split window coupe retains matching-numbers, original drivetrain comprising the L76 327/340 HP small block V-8 engine, BorgWarner T-10 4-speed manual transmission and 4.11:1 Positraction rear end. The factory original body/trim tag has also been retained, and the engine stamp pad has been affirmed authentic by Al Grenning’s Classic Car Affirmation Service, LLC, which is included in the car’s documentation. Finished as original in Sebring Silver paint, the car features a Tuxedo Black interior and is optioned with power windows, an AM/FM radio, metallic brakes and white-stripe radial tires on finned aluminum knock-off wheels. One of the most iconic designs in the history of the American automobile, this 1963 Split Window Coupe includes most all factory-correct-type components including the spare, jack, jack tools, seat belts, washer system, shifter, shielding, air cleaner, alternator, spark plug shields, hoses, hose clamps, hood alignment blocks, valve covers, fuel filter, carburetor, finned balancer, 6-quart oil pan, radiator, gas door assembly, long-base bowtie mirror, glovebox door and two T-3 headlights. It is well documented with an NCRS Top Flight certificate, NCRS/GM Shipping Data Records, the CCAS engine stamp affirmation, a photo album, owner’s history, an owner’s manual packet, old photos, a shop manual and a three-ring binder.
