This 1975 Kawasaki Z1 900 is presented with an all-in approach to correctness, restored, both mechanically and cosmetically, to original specifications by Mike Konopacki. The centerpiece is a 903cc inline-4 engine that has been professionally rebuilt and rebored, and fitted with a rebuilt cylinder head and carburetors and new gaskets and seals. The engine was vapor-blasted while being rebuilt, and it was then professionally tuned by a licensed mechanic. Components and cosmetics were largely addressed with a lengthy list of new parts, including the fuel tank, side covers and tail section from Z1 Parts, painted in Japan; the front and rear rims from the UK; the front and rear tires and tubes, spokes, reflectors, wheel bearings; and the fork oil, fork tubes, front fender, fork ears and trim with chrome hardware; the turn signals, front and rear, grips, dash, horn, ignition and tapered steering head bearings; the front and rear brake parts; the handlebar, switches and mirrors; the wiring harness, Dyna S ignition, Dyna coils and Dyna plug wires; the badges, foot pegs, kickstart arm and shift lever; the swingarm roller bearings; and the air box. The bike was also fitted with a new exhaust with hardware from Z1 Parts, as well as a new seat, rear fender, chain and sprockets, chain guard and cables. The gauges were professionally rebuilt by Z-Resto, and the frame, swingarm, front hub, side stand, center stand, triple trees, headlight bucket, gauge cones, dash bracket and tail light bracket were all powder coated. The rear brake lever and grab bar were rechromed, and the Z1 is fitted with polished aluminum front fork legs, rear hub, valve cover and engine side covers. 1975 KAWASAKI Z1 900
