If the car you saw just before this one is a Silver Bullet, the 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 here could be called the “Nickel Missile!” This example is also Serial No. 402 and has been driven 27 miles since being delivered, still having portions of the predelivery plastic protection intact. Dodge said there would be no more identical Demons built after 2018, and that remained true. The 170 version was part of the Last Call series and pushed horsepower over the 1,000 mark. The Line-loc, Launch Control with Launch Assist, and adjustable- mode suspension works with the durable TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission and limited-slip differential to send power to the pavement, while Brembo 4-piston disc brakes with yellow-logo calipers slow it down. The Widebody on the Demon was also unique, utilizing only the rear fender flares, and here is covered in Triple Nickel metallic paint. There are black spoilers, rear valance, and rockers, and the interior is outfitted in black and red with real carbon fiber accents. There are ventilated front seats, Demonic Red seat belts, paddle and floor shifter options, a suede headliner and premium-stitched dash panel. In addition to the underhood Last Call plaque is the serialized dash tag, and technology includes the Uconnect system with 8.4-inch touchscreen, rain-sensitive wipers, power tilt and telescopic steering column, blind spot and rear cross-path detection, and the remote start system. Air Catcher headlamps, yellow spoiler edge tape and Demon fender emblems complete the look.
