During the past several decades, there have been special Mopar-issued Chrysler models, all showcasing unique pieces or new components. This Mopar 23 Special Edition is No. 79 of the 220 produced in the Last Call model run and has been driven 222 miles since delivery. Equipping the R/T Scat Pack Widebody MTX-23N, a $7,995 option, to the standard Challenger, the additional Mopar 23 Package meant a carbon fiber SRT spoiler, special Mopar 23 badges and graphics, blue brake calipers, and a Mopar front strut tower brace. There is a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission behind it, with the Widebody competition suspension with adaptive damping, Launch Control with Launch Assist, and blue Brembo disc brakes with 6-piston front calipers also part of the underpinnings. The exterior wears Pitch Black Clear Coat with the NACA- type hood treatment reminiscent of the ‘Cuda AAR featuring both a blue stripe and Twin Air Extractors. There is a Last Call underhood plaque, while inside the car features a black interior with Alcantara/Nappa heated and ventilated front seats with the Scat Pack logo, rear seat with center fold-down, the Alpine Audio Group with subwoofer, performance flat-bottom steering wheel, and console-based short-throw shifter. Featuring the U-Connect screen, this car also hosts the Technology Group with rain-sensitive wipers and automatic hi-beam control, a power tilt and telescopic steering column, and pushbutton start. Notable touches outside are the blue rear diffuser, black gas filler cap, the special blue SRT calipers and yellow front spoiler tape. Final accents include black 20x11 lightweight low-gloss wheels and Pirelli tires. At 220 units, the Mopar 23 Special Edition Challenger is a not-oft-seen model for Last Call aficionados, with limited availability today.
