First released for 2020, the new, eighth-generation Corvette finally featured a midengine layout in fulfillment of the long-held vision of Zora Arkus-Duntov, the original Corvette chief engineer. Just 1,000 were produced, resembling the No. 3 and No. 4 Corvette C8.R race cars and celebrating the Corvette C8.R’s maiden 2020 racing season, one in which Corvette Racing swept IMSA’s sports car championship series, taking Manufacturer’s, Driver’s and Team titles. This 2022 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R Edition Convertible is a simply thrilling find for Corvette collectors and enthusiasts with just 131 miles. The potent 6.2L LT1 V-8 engine is factory-rated at 495 HP and 470 lb-ft of torque in concert with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Power delivery and performance are maximized by the renowned Z51 performance package plus an electronic limited-slip differential with performance axle ratio and staggered 19- and 20-inch trident-spoke aluminum wheels.
