In the Michelin product line, we’re also introducing a new MX 145R12 tire for compact cars like the Fiat 600. Then, there is the XAS FF series 145HR13 tire, which is a specially formulated tire with direct fitments for vintage Honda, Lotus, Austin-Healey Sprite and more. We also have a new vintage all-terrain tire, a Michelin XM+S 205R16, which is an OE fitment for Range Rover, Toyota FJ and other ‘70s and ‘80s trucks. Finally, we have two new Michelin Pilot Sport tires, with authentic sizing for the Ferrari Testarossa and first-generation Dodge Viper. We’re also introducing new tire brands into the North American market, as we are the exclusive distributor for Avon, Dunlop and Ensign vintage-style tires. These tires are perfect for classic sports cars, as they are authentic European brands. We’re offering Dunlop Sport Classic radial tires in a wide variety of sizes to fit sports cars from the 1960s and 1970s. Dunlop SP Sport Aquajet tires are also available and are the perfect size and style for sports cars like the Jaguar E-Type. I’m excited about our new Avon tires, because the product line includes both bias-ply and radial tires to fit many generations of collector cars. Many of the bias-ply tires in the Avon Turbospeed product line are speed rated, which is not common for a vintage- style bias-ply tire. Additionally, we’re offering Turbosteel, Super Safety, Tourist and Traction Mileage tires under the Avon brand. Another new brand for 2020 is Ensign, a line of tires that will cover both motorcycle and vintage road racing markets. Travelstar is yet another new brand that we’re offering in 2020. Travelstar manufactures many types of modern radials, but we are only carrying the classic narrow whitewall product line. These tires are very affordable (starting at only $60 each) and work well as a bias-ply replacement tire on 1960s and 1970s classic cars that MECUM.COM • 85 used a narrow whitewall tire. The Travelstar line also has 16- and 17-inch fitments for late-model Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis, which have a bit of a cult following since they are truly the last full-frame, rear-wheel-drive sedan out there. This year, we’re stepping up our game in the classic truck market by reintroducing a popular wheel for Chevrolet trucks. The GM truck rallye was used throughout the 1970s and 1980s on two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Up until now, reproductions of this wheel used an original GM center with a new hoop. We’re starting from scratch and developing tooling for a brand-new center for both the five-lug version with 16 windows and the six-lug version with 10 windows. The wheels will be available in original sizing, as well as larger sizing for custom builds. They’ll be perfect for that C10 or K5 Blazer project. As you can tell, we have many irons in the fire. I haven’t been traveling because of the recent restrictions, but this has given me the opportunity to really dig in with these new products. We’re itching for car show season to get back into full force, so we can show off these new products, but for now, we’re asking everyone to check out our website (www.cokertire.com) and call our team of tire and wheel experts at 1 (866) 516-3215 if you have any questions.
