Members Bill Fletcher and John McCarthy shared tales of how the club is more like a family—one that bonded over a shared interest and an inclusive atmosphere. This “family” now spends its time participating in three national car meets, where more than 100 cars come together to be ogled over and admired. The only specifications required for Lake Shore Region membership are joining the national organization, paying dues and having an interest in Lincolns—and an interest in meeting others who love them as well. On a broad scale, the LCOC and all of its chapters partake in three national car meets, events which are featured on both of the U.S. coasts as well as in the Midwest. Come fall, Lincoln Continentals will be rolling down the streets of some small, Midwestern towns as the Lake Shore Region LCOC members make their way to Springfield, Illinois, this September to host the MidAmerican National Meet. With more than 100 cars set to be shown, LCOC members are ready to share their pride and passion with any onlooker with a love for cars or an open ear. Submission Guidelines To submit your club for consideration as an upcoming featured Car Club, please send a link to your club’s website (if applicable) and include with your submission the name and location of the club as well as the full first and last name, email address and/or phone number of a club Outside of national events, the club hosts an assortment of get- togethers as well. The November membership meeting is quite the draw for new and old members alike, presenting an atmosphere that encourages socialization and companionship. Other get-togethers and outings include trips and tours throughout the Midwest, and not all are car related. Members have enjoyed events at radiator shops, collaborative efforts with other car groups, annual winter- based festivities and even gatherings at wax museums. Not only do members get to participate in the fast-paced fun, but they also receive access to the Golden-Quill-acclaimed “Continental Comments” and the “Lake Shore Lines” monthly publications from the national and regional divisions of the organization. A great place to meet like-minded individuals, find a Lincoln to purchase or admire the history of Lincoln Motor Company, joining the Lincoln & Continental Owners Club is simple. With open arms, this “family” is welcoming anyone of interest. For more information, please visit lcoc.org. leader or spokesperson who can supply the necessary information and imagery.
